First Sino-UK Fiance & Trade Development Conference held on Jul.28,2006 in Guangzhou. It was co-organized by International Small and Medium Enterprises Trade Union(ISMEUK), U.K Chinese Medicine and Healthcare Investment Group, Guangzhou Nongovernmental Investment Association and undertook by Guangzhou Modern Medical New Technology Promotion Center, Guangzhou Wall Street Business Consultant Co., Ltd.

This conference is a large-sized meeting assembling the managers and the executives of British AIM market and British government organizations. Ms.Jane Zhu, president of LSE Asia and Pacific Region, Jun Zhang, Head of Think London Greater China , Gareth Evans, Chief Operation Officer of Liberal Capital Asia Ltd, Michael Reuther, Director of Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance Ltd presented at the Conference. The presenting guests made a systemic introduction on how the AIM market appoints the adviser and how to carry out the merger of properties in Europe, and had a deep discussion with over 300 Chinese entrepreneurs.

It is reported that British AIM market has no minimum limit to the listed companies. All enterprises with high growth can apply it without requirements of 3 years trading records and outstanding achievements. The key listing on the AIM market is the adviser, who makes the verification of suitability. The Stock Exchange and the supervising department do not do it.

London Stock Exchange disclosed that comparing with other second markets such as American Nasdaq, British AIM market has the advantages of low cost, and short time. The listing cost only occupies 8%-10% amount of financing. The application can be completed in 6 months after passing the verification. It is very suitable to the Chinese growth enterprises.

As one of organizers, ISMEUK announced at the conference that ISMEUK would cooperate directly with London Stock Exchange, Think London, the most specialized advisers, international well-known law offices, accounting firms, investment banks so as to help Chinese enterprises list on the London AIM market, reducing the blindness and the middle channel of Chinese enterprises. ISMEUK would set up a “Financial Service Center” (FSC) to serve Chinese enterprises.

The members of FSC are all the international essences engaged in the finance, securities and stock market for many years. They will provide the most specialized and the most authoritative consultations to Chinese enterprises with the aspiration listing on the British market. It is introduced that the advisers under London Stock Exchange are about 20. FSC has reached a direct cooperation with over half of them. Chinese enterprises not only can get a most direct financing “green” channel through FSC, but also can flexibly select the most suitable adviser and accounting firm according to the suggestion of FSC and its own situation so as to make it simplified and optimized.

Tom Marchbanks, chief trade and investment consul of British Consulate-general guangzhou indicated at the conference that British Consulate-general Guangzhou would provide the largest convenient to the Chinese entrepreneurs developing in UK.

This conference got great supports and positive participations of enterprises with the listing aspiration and government organizations in Pearl River Delta. The atmosphere was very warm. The participators surpassed the anticipation that many of them had to stand for morning conference, but it had little influence on the enthusiasm and the concentration of them.

“One to one Matchmaking” in the afternoon was more inspiring. It is reported that over 30 Chinese enterprises with the listing aspiration had a deep and efficient exchange with London Stock Exchange, Think London and advisers. Two of them reached the preliminary listing intention on the spot. Five of them decided to cooperate with London China Town.

It is disclosed by the organizer that two Chinese enterprises reaching the listing intention has an abundant strength and a good development. FSC will spare no efforts with London Stock Exchange, Think London and advisers to facilitate the listing of these tow enterprises on the London AIM market.
